PQA ASSESSORS PREPARATORY COURSE
The PQA is an integrated quality management tool for organizational excellence based on the US Baldrige Performance Excellence. The backbone of the program is the PQA assessors who provide their skills, time and expertise in the PQA assessment process. This course aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of individual in helping our local organizations improve their processes and increase their efficiency by equipping their managers, quality and process experts to conduct over-all organizational self-assessment based on an internationally accepted business excellence framework.
This year run of Philippine Quality Award (PQA) Assessors Preparatory Course (APC) will be Asynchronous and Synchronous E-Learning that will run in February to March 2021. This program is in partnership between the Department of Trade and Industry – Competitiveness Bureau (DTI-CB) and the Philippine Quality Award Foundation, Inc.
Who may enroll?
The program is open to anyone, especially CEOs, Industrial Engineers and department/section heads and managers of public and private organizations familiar with Productivity & Quality principles, who shall benefit the most. Other organizations interested and are planning to implement and apply for the PQA may also enroll into this course.
What will I learn?
- Learn the framework and principles of Philippine Quality Award management system based on the US Baldrige Performance Excellence.
- Gain competencies required as a PQA Assessors in reviewing and assessing award applications.
- Have an opportunity to have a new career and be part of PQA’s pool of Assessors.
How do I enroll?
Interested participant may now register on this form: http://tiny.cc/PQA-1stAPC2021 and attach the one-pager resume with recent photo for the qualification verification until February 14, 2021. Interested participant shall be informed accordingly on payment details (how and where) upon receipt of registration. The training fee is Php 5,000.00 per pax, VAT inclusive, which covers access to training modules and materials of the entire program.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS: |
· Acceptance of training is on first come-first served basis and is upon submission of proof of payment of the training fee until February 14, 2021. |
· Accomplishing of registration form without proof of payment will serve only as temporary slot reservation. |
· Participants will receive a communication from DTI with the details of the training course and instructions for the required pre-work modules and assignment upon receipt of proof of payment. |
· Participants are required to finish the course to receive the Certificate of Completion and qualify to be part of the PQA Pool of Assessors. |

Ms. Fraginal, who owns ACF Consultancy and Training Services, is a company in existence for 20 years now that specializes in quality management. Prior to this, she was a full-time consultant and employee of San Miguel Corporation, a leading company in the Philippines.
She assisted organizations from various industries such as services, academe and manufacturing for both private and public sectors in their quality journeys, particularly in the areas of Philippine Quality Award (PQA) based on Baldrige and Adoption of ISO Management Systems Framework, in the Philippines and abroad.
How will the course be?
The course program involves individual assignment, lecture, individual and group exercises, and comments writing workshop based on the selected case study. The Asynchronous E-Learning will be using Google Drive platform and the Synchronous E-Learning will be conducted through Zoom Conference. Below is the course schedule and details for your reference:
