Recognition for Proficiency in Quality Management

Holy Angel University

Founded in 1933, Holy Angel University is the first Catholic higher education institution in the Philippines founded by a layperson and is the first Catholic high school in the Philippines that is co-educational from the beginning. Located in Angeles City, Holy Angel offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs from School of Arts & Sciences, School of Business & Accountancy, School of Education, School of Engineering & Architecture, College of Criminal Justice Education & Forensics, School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, School of Nursing & Allied Medical Sciences, and the Graduate School. 

Since 1993, the university’s degree programs have been accredited by either the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities or the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities—Commission on Accreditation. 

The university’s business programs are accredited by the US-based International             Accreditation Council for Business Education, while the hospitality and tourism management programs are accredited by the US-based Accreditation Council for Programs in Hospitality Administration.

Holy Angel University is the only Catholic college in Asia that is recommended by the US-based Cardinal Newman Society for its demonstrated commitment to faithful Catholic education and the only Philippine higher education institution designated as a National School of Character by the Washington, DC-based Character Education Partnership. Holy Angel has exponentially grown from its initial 78 enrollees to become one of the largest private universities in the country and a producer of board topnotchers and future leaders and captains of industry. In 2016, Holy Angel University was the only recipient of the Philippine Quality Award, the country’s highest award for quality and organizational excellence that is modeled after the US Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
