23rd Cycle of the Philippine Quality Award (PQA) for 2020

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), through its Competitiveness Bureau, is pleased to announce the opening of the 23rd Cycle of the Philippine Quality Award (PQA) for 2020.

The Philippine Quality Award (PQA) is an integrated approach for performance management that sets the standard of excellence to help Philippine organizations achieve world-class performance. It is also the highest level of national recognition for exemplary organizational performance in both public and private sectors. The Award Program was institutionalized through Republic Act No. 9013 on February 28, 2001, also known as the PQA Act, provides an internationally recognized performance excellence framework and criteria for assessing organizational performance patterned from the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA) of the United States (US). It is not an award for product or service quality, but for organizational performance excellence which hinges on improvement in the delivery of products and/or services and paves a way for satisfying and responding to customers’ needs and expectations.

Please take part in this comprehensive assessment of your organization based on the performance excellence framework. A quality-driven Team of Assessors and Board of Judges will assess your organization holistically identifying important strengths as well as opportunities for improvement of your organization. Organizations will receive a PQA Feedback Report prepared by 5 to 7 Assessors which can guide you in your future organizational excellence efforts for a minimal application fee. This can be used as a roadmap to organizational excellence by improving your performance results, stay abreast with competition, increase leadership effectiveness, customer and employee satisfaction, and process management.

We urge you to apply for the PQA and join the elite group of organizations that were conferred with PQA or any of its Recognition Levels. Should you need more information, we have attached the PQA Briefer & Calendar, and feel free to contact us at (02) 8890-4889 or through email at pqa@dti.gov.ph and look for Tetet Landicho or PJ Roque. If you want to know if your organization is eligible to apply for PQA, please feel free to accomplish and email to us the attached Eligibility Information Form (EIF).

Your pursuit for excellence will definitely contribute to the country’s aspiration of KALIDAD PILIPINAS – for the world to know that KAPAG GAWANG PILIPINAS, Siguradong GAWANG KALIDAD.
